An exciting opportunity has opened for a Staff Nurse on the Coronary Care unit (CCU) at The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust. The CCU team is a dynamic workforce, who is keen to help support and develop nurses interested in experiencing this exciting and changeable environment. We are seeking Nurses who are compassionate, bright and motivated to deliver the best care to our acute and complex group of patients. We would like Registered Nurses with Cardiology Experience to apply however this is not an essential requirement as full support and training will be given. We are a compact 8 bedded unit caring for a wide variety of acutely ill patients from, Acute Coronary Syndromes, Heart Failure and Cardiac arrhythmias. Cardiac Device Insertion and DC cardioversion are part of our service. We also have the facility to monitor 10 telemetry beds on adjoining wards. As part of our friendly, supportive, professional team you will work closely with other specialities within the hospital caring for acutely ill patients who need cardiac monitoring on the unit. We encourage anyone with an interest in cardiac nursing team to apply. We encourage staff development and training and support for successful applicants will be provided. Part time positions are available.
The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate a commitment to high standards of patient care. Due to the ever changing needs of patients, good communication skills are essential, ensuring that senior nursing staff are informed of any problems or incidents that may occur. As patient needs change, the successful candidate needs to be able to demonstrate good organisational skills. The timely maintaining and completion of nursing records is also essential.
