Job description
The post holder will be responsible for leading and monitoring the performance of the nursing team. Also responsible for the development of programs of care, assessing implementing and evaluating nursing care. He/she is designated to ensure the effective running of the ward and managing resources. The ward manager/ Supervisory ward sister has 24-hour responsibility for the ward/ unit and holds and manages the ward budget.

Qualifications
Essential
- Bachelor of Science in Adult Nursing ( Degree)
- Current NMC registration
- Recent study Degree/ MSc level or working towards
- Teaching and assessing (Degree or similar) ENB98
- Management or leadership course or equivalent expereince
Desirable
- A range of experience in adult Nursing Care
- Haemodialysis experience desirable but not essential
- Previous experience at senior nurse band 6 level for 18 months
- Experience in Coaching or mentoring
