We have a great new role for a Technical Lead - Fixed Digital Network Products to join our Digital Network Transformation team.

The Fixed Domain Technical Lead provides end-to-end technical leadership across Fixed digital network products, ensuring high-quality design, delivery, and operation of services for residential and business customers. This role spans Lead-to-Cash and Trouble-to-Resolve journeys, aligned with digital end-state architecture and TM Forum frameworks.

The role is a technical authority for Fixed network products, guiding multiple supplier deliveries, influencing design decisions, and ensuring products are secure, scalable, and performant. This includes testing hypotheses, defining design constraints, best practices, and enabling automation across the domain.

Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Leadership & Design Authority

  • Provide technical leadership across the Fixed product domain, ensuring alignment to digital end-state architecture and TMF-aligned Lead-to-Cash and service orchestration processes.
  • Guide technical design and operational decisions for Broadband, TV over XGSPON, DOCSIS, and other Fixed network services.
  • Quality assure technical designs, workflow automation, and orchestration delivered through tools like Itential, NSO, Appian and other internal tools.
  • Actively participate in testing, proof-of-concepts, and validating designs on SDN controllers such as Cisco NSO, providing actionable guidance to delivery teams.

Cloud & Automation Enablement

  • Build, operate, and optimise Fixed digital network products using cloud platforms
  • Identify opportunities to leverage automation, AI/ML, and generative AI to create network plans, design artifacts, or accelerate service delivery.
  • Contribute to or lead initiatives on dark NOCs, closed-loop automation, and proactive operations

  • Delivery Oversight & Supplier Governance

    • Lead supplier delivery teams through KPIs and metrics, ensuring alignment with technical standards, security, and domain strategy.
    • Oversee the adoption of DevSecOps tooling and CI/CD practices across the Fixed domain.
    • Oversee products delivered using containerisation technologies and CI/CD practices across the Fixed domain.
    • Drive cross-team collaboration to ensure workflows, service orders, and orchestration align with TMF frameworks.

    The must haves

    • Strong network background, with hands-on experience in Fixed telecom protocols and standards (ERPS)
  • Network Automation across plan/design/build and provisioning
  • Network knowledge and certification would be advantageous (CCNA/CCNP) or Juniper (JNCP) or Nokia
  • Experience in DevOps tooling, CI/CD, and modern software engineering practices.
  • Knowledge/Familiarity of TM Forums framework for Naas

  • The other stuff we are looking for

    • Experience leveraging generative AI to create network plans or design artifacts.
    • Experience working on or delivering dark NOCs and closed-loop automation.
    • Familiarity with TSA regulations and measures.
