Main duties of the job
Clerking and initial management of ED patients (adult & paediatric).
Participate in teaching opportunities and ED governance
Engage in audits and quality improvement projects.
Maintain accurate medical records and ensure safe prescribing.
Escalate care appropriately and manage acutely unwell patients.
Work a fully self-rostered rota (13-week cycle including normal days, twilight shifts, and nights -- please note this rota is already rostered).

Qualifications
Essential
- MBBS or equivalent On GMC Register with license to practice
- Higher qualifications and or degrees
- Completion of FY1 and FY2 Years
- Up to date knowledge of guidelines within Emergency Medicine
- Up to date with CPD
- Clinical governance and Evidence Based Practice
Desirable
- Academic awards and or prizes
- Involvement in audit
Experience
Essential
- Experience in undifferentiated emergency Medicine Experience working with MDTs and discharge planning
- At least completed Foundation Year 1 AND Foundation Year 2 training
- At least 6 months experience working clinically in the NHS as a doctor (not clinical attachment)
- Experience of working for a minimum of 4 months in a Emergency Medicine setting.
- Evidence of safe clinical practice
