We're looking for a Domestic Assistant to join our established and successful domestic team, helping to maintain the high standards of cleanliness, safety, and hygiene that are essential to the running of our home. At Clayfields House, we provide a secure and supportive environment for children aged 10 to 18 who need care and guidance. Our mission is to nurture, protect, and empower every young person in our care.
If you are able to contribute to cleaning, laundry and other services which help to maintain the cleaning and hygiene standards of Clayfields House and, you can work as part of a team, you may be the person we are looking for. Some duties will include direct contact with both staff and young people, so your ability to relate well to a range of people will be particularly important.

As a Domestic Assistant, Your Key Responsibilities Will Include
Cleaning and maintaining areas to a high standard.
Carrying out deep cleaning and respond to spillages and emergency cleaning requirements.
Replacing consumable items and maintain cleaning supplies.
Operating cleaning equipment, including industrial vacuum cleaners and floor maintenance machines.
Assisting with stock control, record keeping, and reporting equipment defects.
Following Health & Safety procedures, including COSHH and risk assessments.
Working flexibly as part of the facilities team to support the smooth running of the service.
What We're Looking For
Experience in cleaning or domestic services is desirable.
Knowledge of cleaning methods, equipment, and hygiene standards.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication skills and a positive, proactive attitude.
Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
Willingness to undertake relevant training.
