JOB ROLE: Finance Assistant
SALARY: £18,480 - £20,400 per annum, pro rata (equivalent to £30,800 - £34,000 full-time)

THE ROLE
A detail-oriented and organised Finance Assistant to support the day-to-day financial operations of the business. Responsible for sales and purchase ledger activities, client and supplier onboarding, responding to finance-related queries, and assisting with month-end processes. This role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to supporting the finance function.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare and process sales invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
- Review draft sales invoices at month-end and assist in ensuring all billable work is invoiced appropriately.
- Respond promptly and professionally to client email queries relating to invoices, payments, and account matters.
- Process onboarding of new clients, including collecting required documentation.
THE PERSON
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Good organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Excel
- Experience using Xero and Scoro desirable
- Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
- Professional and customer-focused approach when dealing with clients and suppliers
- AAT qualification, or studying towards AAT, would be advantageous but is not essential.
- Reliable and trustworthy.
- Proactive with a willingness to learn.
- Strong team player with a positive attitude.
- Able to handle confidential financial information with discretion.
