JOB OVERVIEW
We are seeking an experienced Manager - IT to lead the London Branch IT function. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), you will be responsible for the operational stability, security, resilience, and continuous improvement of the branch's IT infrastructure and services while managing a small team of IT professionals.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on IT leader who combines strong infrastructure expertise with project management, stakeholder engagement, regulatory awareness, and people leadership.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the day-to-day operation and availability of the London Branch IT environment.
- Manage servers, networks, desktop infrastructure, mobile devices, telephony, backup, and storage solutions.
- Drive IT projects, technology enhancements, and infrastructure modernization initiatives.
- Act as the primary technical escalation point for IT-related incidents and issues.
- Ensure alignment with IT security, audit, risk, regulatory, and operational resilience requirements.
- Oversee Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity (BCP) planning and testing activities.
- Manage vendor relationships, outsourcing oversight, and technology service delivery.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a small team of IT professionals.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
- Prince2 or PMP certification preferred.
- Microsoft and/or Cisco certifications highly valued.
Experiences
- 7+ years of IT experience, including people management responsibilities.
- Proven experience in IT Infrastructure, Operations, and Technical Support environments.
- Experience managing IT projects and driving service improvements.
- Exposure to highly regulated environments such as Banking or Financial Services is advantageous.
