The Role

This position sits at the intersection of software engineering, product development, and AI systems.

You will be responsible for designing and building production-grade applications that leverage large language models, intelligent agents, retrieval systems, and external integrations to solve real-world problems. Working across the full technology stack, you will help transform advanced AI capabilities into reliable, scalable, and impactful customer-facing products.

Key Responsibilities

Product Engineering

• Design, develop, and deliver end-to-end product features across frontend, backend, and AI components.
• Build scalable, high-performance systems that support AI-native workflows.
• Develop robust and maintainable software solutions focused on delivering measurable user value.

Agent & Workflow Development

• Design and implement intelligent agent workflows capable of planning, decision-making, tool orchestration, execution, and recovery.
• Build systems that support complex, multi-step tasks spanning multiple sessions and external services.
• Create reusable abstractions that enable reliable integration of AI capabilities into product experiences.

AI Systems Integration

• Integrate large language models, retrieval systems, memory architectures, and third-party tools into production environments.
• Develop resilient systems that account for the inherent unpredictability of AI models.
• Deliver low-latency, real-time user experiences through efficient architecture and optimisation.

Reliability & Performance

• Enhance observability, monitoring, and evaluation frameworks.
• Implement robust fault-tolerance, fallback mechanisms, and recovery strategies.
• Investigate production issues and continuously improve workflow reliability and success rates.

Collaboration & Innovation

• Partner closely with Product, Engineering, and AI teams to define and execute technical strategy.
• Contribute to architectural decisions, technology selection, and product direction.
• Drive continuous improvement through experimentation, iteration, and user feedback.

Candidate Profile

Essential Experience

• Proven experience as a Full Stack Engineer building modern web applications.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, distributed systems, APIs, and scalable backend design.
• Hands-on experience developing AI-powered products leveraging LLMs, RAG, agent frameworks, or related technologies.
• Demonstrated ability to take ownership of projects from conception through to deployment.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a pragmatic and product-focused approach.
• Experience working within fast-paced and evolving environments.

Desirable Experience

• Agentic AI systems and autonomous workflows.
• Vector databases, retrieval systems, and semantic search.
• AI evaluation, observability, and reliability frameworks.
• Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud-native infrastructure.
• Performance optimisation for real-time AI applications.
