About the Analyst Position:As an analyst, you have the opportunity to work on complex business problems within a collaborative environment. Analysts can expect to work on multiple projects at a time across various practice areas and industries. Responsibilities and work experiences may include but are not limited to the following: 

• Quantitative analyses: you will help develop data-driven models to address complex economic and financial problems using tools such as R, Stata, Python and other programs
• Qualitative research: you will conduct research using academic and industry literature, publicly available data sources, and client materials; and you will synthesize findings to inform case strategy and analysis
• Preparation of reports: you will assist in drafting expert reports, presentations, and internal memoranda, and help prepare materials for client and case team meetings
• Team collaboration: you will engage regularly with colleagues at all levels through case work and have an opportunity to interact directly with clients
• Firm-building initiatives: you will contribute to firm life by participating in recruiting, mentoring, and inclusion initiatives; pro bono work; and other business development activities

Analysis Group fosters a progressive and academically oriented work environment, with an emphasis on teamwork and collaboration across diverse areas of expertise. Specifically, we seek candidates who have: 

• A master’s degree in economics, finance, data analytics or related quantitative subjects; relevant work experience is a plus, but not required
• Strong quantitative and research skills, including analytical and creative problem-solving abilities; familiarity with AI tools; the ability to conduct targeted research to address client challenges; and intellectual curiosity with a strong desire to continuously learn

Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas clearly and concisely

Demonstrated interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset, with the ability to work independently as well as within a team setting

A strong academic track record, with demonstrated attention to detail, organizational skills, and a commitment to producing high-quality work
