Bristol Infrastructure Full Time, Part Time, Permanent
We are seeking an Associate/Principal Hydrologist to join our Environmental Engineering team. While we currently have team members based in Cirencester, Bristol, London, Birmingham, Solent and Cambridge, we will consider any Pegasus office for the right candidate. This role will play an important part in supporting our future growth plans.
We are looking for a competent and experienced hydrologist with a solid foundation knowledge in surface water and flood management alongside a specialism within one or multiple of:
- Water Quality and the Water Framework Directive
- Water Resources and Nutrient Neutrality
- Groundwater and Hydrogeology
- Hydrology and hydraulic modelling
- Restoration and Nature Based Solutions
What You Will Do
In this role, you will lead and deliver environmental engineering projects across a range of sectors, including residential, renewables and infrastructure. You will oversee the production of technical reports, calculations and design drawings, while providing project management, technical leadership, mentorship and quality assurance to the wider team. You will also support the Director with team growth, marketing and business development, with the Associate grade taking on additional responsibility for income generation. The role will involve active external communication, including stakeholder engagement and client correspondence.
What Are We Looking For.
- Strong technical competence and proven experience delivering environmental engineering consultancy services for surface water and flood management, including technical drawings, calculations and reports.
- A distinct technical specialism in addition to Flood Risk Assessment and drainage strategies.
- Experience managing projects, budgets and programmes.
- 6+ years of relevant post education experience (candidates with more extensive experience will be considered for the Associate level), working on projects at the strategic and pre-planning stages of development.
Chartership with a relevant body (CIWEM or similar) A collaborative leader with the ability to mentor others and maintain strong client relationships.
