SOC 2431 (88% match) is an eligible occupation, with a going rate of £50,200, and CGI is a licensed sponsor. That is our reading of the rules. Whether they issue a Certificate of Sponsorship is still their call.

This could also be SOC 2133 (IT business analysts, architects and systems designers, Process design and data use could be IT-focused). We read the code off the advert, so it is our best guess, not the employer's.

About the role

Position Description

At CGI, we help organisations transform the way they work, turning complex processes into simpler, more effective ways of delivering value. As a Business Process Consultant, you’ll lead process analysis and redesign across complex client environments, using insight, collaboration and creative thinking to deliver measurable improvements. You’ll have ownership of workstreams, influence senior stakeholders and shape practical solutions that support lasting transformation. Working alongside an experienced community of consultants, you’ll be encouraged to challenge assumptions, develop new approaches and share your expertise, with the support and proven methods needed to deliver confidently for our clients and grow your career.

CGI was recognised in the Sunday Times Best Places to Work List 2025 and has been named a UK ‘Best Employer’ by the Financial Times. We offer a competitive salary, excellent pension, private healthcare, plus a share scheme (3.5% + 3.5% matching) which makes you a CGI Partner not just an employee. We are committed to inclusivity, building a genuinely diverse community of tech talent and inspiring everyone to pursue careers in our sector, including our Armed Forces, and are proud to hold a Gold Award in recognition of our support of the Armed Forces Corporate Covenant. Join us and you’ll be part of an open, friendly community of experts. We’ll train and support you in taking your career wherever you want it to go.

Due to the secure nature of the programme, you will need to hold UK Security Clearance or be eligible to go through this clearance. This is a hybrid position but you will be expected on client site/CGI Offices 1–2 days a week on average.

Your future duties and responsibilities

In this role, you will lead and support end-to-end process analysis and design across complex client environments, helping organisations understand how work is delivered today and how it can be improved for the future. You’ll work directly with senior stakeholders, facilitating collaborative workshops, challenging assumptions and translating business requirements into pragmatic, value-focused solutions that deliver measurable outcomes.

You’ll take ownership of defined workstreams or smaller engagements, balancing delivery, quality and risk while contributing to wider transformation programmes. You’ll have the opportunity to explore new approaches, use data to uncover opportunities and influence client decisions. Supported by experienced colleagues and proven methods, you’ll also share your expertise, coach others and help strengthen capability across the wider practice.

  • Lead & Analyse: Deliver end-to-end process mapping, optimisation and redesign initiatives.
  • Facilitate & Advise: Lead client workshops and engage senior stakeholders to understand challenges, test assumptions and build consensus.
  • Design & Transform: Shape business change initiatives, including impact assessment and adoption planning.
  • Measure & Improve: Use qualitative and quantitative insight to identify root causes, define KPIs and track benefits.
  • Own & Deliver: Manage workstreams against agreed outcomes, risks, timelines, governance and quality standards.
  • Build & Collaborate: Develop trusted relationships across client organisations and multidisciplinary delivery teams.
  • Coach & Support: Guide junior consultants and review client deliverables to maintain high standards.
  • Contribute & Grow: Support proposals, estimates and the development of future client opportunities.

  • Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role

You’ll bring strong experience in business process analysis, consulting or transformation, with the confidence to work directly with clients and take ownership of defined pieces of work. You’ll combine structured analytical thinking with strong interpersonal skills, using data and insight to influence decisions while working collaboratively with colleagues and clients to turn ideas into practical change.

    • Proven experience in process mapping, optimisation and redesign, using Lean, Six Sigma, BPMN or comparable approaches.
    • Strong client-facing consulting capability, including engagement with senior stakeholders.
    • Experience supporting business change and transformation initiatives, from analysis through to implementation and adoption.
    • Proven ability to use qualitative and quantitative data to identify root causes and develop evidence-based recommendations.
    • Experience managing workstreams, including risks, dependencies, governance, quality and delivery.
    • Strong workshop facilitation skills, with the ability to challenge constructively and build stakeholder alignment.
  • Clear and confident communication skills across both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to coach and support colleagues, sharing knowledge and contributing to high-quality team outcomes.
  • Exposure to process intelligence or process discovery tools such as Soroco is desirable.

  • Together, as owners, let’s turn meaningful insights into action.

    About sponsorship for this role

Does this job guarantee visa sponsorship?

Not necessarily. CGI holds a sponsor licence, but sponsorship for a specific hire is always the employer's decision. Be upfront in your application that you'll require it.

What salary is needed for this role to be eligible?

The offer must clear both the general threshold and the SOC 2431 going rate of £50,200. New-entrant and shortage discounts can lower it.
