TGRC is partnering with a UK engineering and infrastructure contractor specialising in the delivery of electrical infrastructure projects across the power and utilities sectors. The business provides end-to-end solutions including high-voltage electrical installations, cable infrastructure, substations, and associated civil engineering works, supporting the UK's critical energy network.

Job Summary:

The Commercial Manager will be responsible for developing and executing the company's commercial growth strategy, expanding its presence across both the public and private sectors, and building a strong pipeline of new business opportunities. You will lead commercial negotiations, oversee tender and framework submissions, develop strategic partnerships, and identify new revenue streams that support the long-term growth of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement the company's commercial growth strategy to support long-term business objectives.
• Build and maintain a strong pipeline of public and private sector opportunities.
• Identify and secure new business opportunities across renewable energy, infrastructure and commercial markets.
• Increase the company's presence within the private commercial sector through strategic business development initiatives.
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with key clients, partners and senior stakeholders.
• Lead commercial negotiations, pricing strategies and costing activities to maximise profitability.

Key Requirements:

• Significant experience in a senior Commercial Manager, Business Development, Partnerships or Strategic Growth role.
• Experience within the renewable energy, solar, utilities, infrastructure or wider energy sectors.
• Demonstrated success in developing new business pipelines and generating sustainable revenue growth.
• Strong commercial strategy development and execution experience.
• Proven ability to lead pricing, costing and commercial negotiations.
• Experience preparing and managing successful tender submissions, framework applications and competitive bids.
• Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and decision-makers.
• Excellent commercial awareness with the ability to identify, develop and convert business opportunities.
• Strategic thinker who is equally comfortable operating at both a strategic and hands-on level.
• Outstanding communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
