We’re currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Credit Manager, Wholesale Credit Risk Management.
This role offers the opportunity to take on significant responsibility within HSBC’s second line of defence, evaluating and approving high-value lending proposals across CIB and select CMB clients (largely non-UK ring-fenced Bank clients). You’ll act as a subject matter expert, influencing policy, process improvements, and risk management both regionally and globally. The position provides exposure to senior management, cross-functional collaboration, and the chance to shape lending guidelines and risk appetite at industry and counterparty levels. You’ll also play a pivotal role in supporting sustainable finance initiatives, managing emerging risks, and contributing to the ongoing development of the offshore team, making this a dynamic, impactful, and highly visible position within the organisation.

In This Role You’ll
- Assess and approve credit transactions and annual reviews within your delegated authority and make well-structured recommendations for those exceeding your authority. Sector coverage will include, amongst others, Oil & Gas, Metals & Mining, Retail, Consumer Brands and Chemicals.
