About the role
To provide an efficient receptionist service to all visitors attending the Department/Clinic and maintain a sensitive friendly approach.
The post holder has a general duty of care for their own health, safety and wellbeing and that of work colleagues, visitors and patients within the hospital, in addition to any specific risk management or clinicalgovernance accountabilities associated with this post.

Education and Qualification
Essential
- GCSE A-C in English & Maths, or equivalent.
Knowledge and Experience
Essential
- Prior experience in healthcare administration, medical office, or scheduling roles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
- Strong computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
Desirable
- Proficiency in Epic.
Skills and Competencies
Essential
- Ability to deal with sensitive information with tact and diplomacy.
- Competent use of IT systems - Excel, Word, and dbase input Administrative experience.
- Clear & effective communication skills both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently, to manage and prioritise own workload.
Desirable
- Ability to make decisions regarding constantly changing clinics patient queries and to escalate where appropriate.
