This is an exciting opportunity to join the out-patient renal dialysis team at South Tyneside and Sunderland NHS Trust. The Renal Unit is based at Sunderland Royal Hospital.
You will have an opportunity work alongside experienced renal team to provide safe effective renal replacement therapy to the patients with kidney disease.
The department is looking to recruit a dynamic and forward-thinking dialysis assistant. Experience is desirable but not essential for this role as training will be provided.
The successful candidate will be mentored in all aspects of the job over a 6-month period completing competency-based assessments with full mentor support.
This is a progression post, on successful completion on competency-based assessments and 6 months training the successful candidate will be upgraded to Band 4.

This is currently a 6-day service running from Monday to Saturday from 06:30 22:30.

Renal Unit provide outpatient dialysis care to patients living in and around Sunderland, Washington and Durham area.
Within this role the successful candidate will assist team of registered nurses in delivering high level of nursing care and support to patients and deliver prescribed haemodialysis treatments.
Other aspects of the job include Housekeeping, stock control, cleaning, patient flow and transport bookings.
Shifts include 3 long days - 06:30 17:30 and, 1 half day - 06:30-12:30 or, twilight shifts 11:30-2230 and 16:30-22:30
