The Direct Payments team assists service users in setting up and maintaining services as set out in their support plans.
Provide information and support to service users choosing to take all or some of their personal budget as a Direct Payment. Supporting service users to source appropriate community support, for example through employing support staff directly or by directly contracting with support providers. Supporting service users to resolve any difficulties they may be encountering in managing their Direct Payment.
Provide Direct Payments training and support to social workers within Adults and Children’s Services and social care providers.
Liaise with other Direct Payment support services e.g. community payroll services, and internal teams involved in the administration of Direct Payments
The role involves regular face to face contact with service users in their own homes and the operation of a duty system offering telephone support and advice to service users and social work teams.
You must be:
Educated to Level 2 of the Regulated Qualifications Framework e.g. NVQ Level 2, GCSE grade A* - C, Skills for Life Level 2
