We're looking for an ambitious Duty Manager to join our branch leadership team. Reporting to the Branch Manager and working alongside other Duty Managers, you'll play a pivotal role in leading the day-to-day operation of the branch across our retail, warehouse and fleet functions.

As Duty Manager, you'll help ensure the branch operates safely, efficiently and commercially, delivering an outstanding experience for both customers and colleagues.
Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting the day-to-day running of the branch across retail, warehouse and fleet operations.
Coordinating resources to ensure smooth, efficient operations and excellent customer service.
Driving operational excellence by maintaining company standards, policies and procedures.
Managing stock accuracy, inventory control and stock take activities.
Ensuring pick-to-manifest targets and customer service SLAs are consistently achieved.
Overseeing returns, warranties and reverse logistics processes.
Supporting Click & Collect and delivery operations.
Ensuring fleet compliance, vehicle readiness and operational efficiency.
Coaching, motivating and developing colleagues across all operational areas.
Delivering engaging daily team briefings.
Conducting performance conversations and supporting individual development plans.
Assisting with recruitment, onboarding and succession planning.
Creating a positive, inclusive and customer-focused culture.
Building a flexible, multi-skilled team capable of delivering exceptional results.
Championing a customer-first culture throughout the branch.
Supporting colleagues to deliver outstanding service every day.
Resolving customer queries professionally and efficiently.
Working closely with sales and operational teams to maximise customer opportunities.
Maintaining high standards of branch presentation and operational excellence.
Supporting delivery of branch sales, profit and margin targets.
Monitoring operational costs, payroll and productivity.
Maintaining robust cash handling and stock control procedures.
Using KPIs and operational data to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Supporting branch growth through operational excellence and commercial awareness.
Promoting a safety-first culture across the branch.
Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety legislation and company policies.
Supporting operational, financial and stock audits.
Maintaining accurate compliance records and operational controls.
Ensuring all colleagues complete mandatory training and compliance requirements.
You'll be an experienced people leader with a passion for operational excellence and customer service.
You'll ideally have:
Previous supervisory or management experience within retail, warehouse, logistics or distribution.
Experience leading, coaching and developing teams.
Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
Experience managing KPIs and operational performance.
A customer-focused mindset with a drive to deliver outstanding service.
Good knowledge of stock control and operational processes.
Strong commercial awareness and the ability to influence business performance.
Confidence working with operational systems and reporting tools.
A flexible approach and the ability to perform under pressure.
Experience with fleet operations, inventory management or P&L responsibility would be advantageous but isn't essential.
