The Role
As Financial Operations Analyst, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records at an individual customer level. Focusing on detailed reconciliation work, you will review customer balances, identifying and resolving customer discrepancies to maintain clean and reliable accounting records. The position plays a key role in supporting the wider finance function, ensuring all customer-related transactions are correctly recorded and allocated.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform detailed reconciliations of customer accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Review debtor balances and investigate outstanding items or inconsistencies
- Monitor and review suspense accounts, ensuring all payments are correctly identified and allocated in a timely manner
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies across customer accounts, working closely with the internal teams where required
- Support month-end processes related to customer accounts, including reporting and balance validation
Skills & Attributes
- Qualified or working towards a professional finance qualification (e.g. ACCA, CIMA)
- Advanced Excel skills
- Can work on own initiative
- Strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping and balance sheet principles
