This is a unique opportunity for an experienced financial services professional to join the Independent Governance Committee (IGC) at Hargreaves Lansdown (HL) as an IGC Member.
The IGC has an important role in assessing the value for money for the 750+ workplace pension schemes HL administers for employers and their c.207,000 scheme members. The committee scrutinises service, communication, investment performance, as well as costs and charges. It will make recommendations and raise concerns through to the HL Asset Management Board and beyond to employers, scheme members and the FCA if necessary. The IGC must act solely in the interests of members of the HL Workplace pension and pathways investors and act independently of HL.
As an IGC Member, you will have significant experience in the financial services industry with in-depth knowledge of the workplace pension market and/or expert knowledge of drawdown and investment. Your specific experience and expertise will be relevant to the IGC prescribed remit and will augment and compliment the skillset of the combined committee membership. The role will also require the highest standards of integrity, empathy, collaboration and professionalism.
As well as its regulatory prerequisites, the HL IGC is a valuable source of expertise which helps with shaping our future plans and development. It is therefore expected that the IGC member will take a keen interest in the business and will offer support and counsel when appropriate. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with relevant in-depth knowledge and experience to join and complement an IGC which HL is proud to maintain.
