SOC 2161 is an eligible occupation, but we classified this role with low confidence (31% match). If the code is right — and OCR Alpha is a licensed sponsor — it should qualify, but double-check the occupation eligibility rules against the actual role.
OCR Alpha is partnered with a leading global hedge fund with more than $10bn in AUM, specialising in Fixed Income and Macro strategies. The firm is looking to add a high-calibre individual to its London-based Investor Relations team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone earlier in their career who wants to build a long-term path within Investor Relations and, over time, progress into a more commercial fundraising and sales-focussed position.
Working within a lean and experienced team, the successful candidate will support senior fundraising professionals across a broad range of client activity, including investor communications, meeting preparation and follow-up, participating in investor meetings, and supporting the ongoing coverage and relationship management of institutional clients across Europe.
As the individual develops, the role is expected to become increasingly client-facing, with greater ownership of investor relationships and, ultimately, the opportunity to move into a standalone relationship management position.
The role would suit someone currently working within Investor Relations or client services within a hedge fund or asset manager. A genuine interest in markets and a desire to build a career on the commercial side of the investment management industry will be important.
The position will involve some travel, primarily across key European financial centres.
Compensation and benefits are highly competitive.

The offer must clear both the general threshold and the SOC 2161 going rate of £54,400. New-entrant and shortage discounts can lower it.
