Civil/Structural Engineer – Onsite Role
📍 Plymouth | 🕒 37–40 hours per week | 📅 46-week initial contract
Join our client to delivering a major 3 Basin remediation project in Plymouth This is a key onsite role where you’ll lead and coordinate civil & structural engineering activities within a dynamic Joint Project Team (JPT).
🔧 What You’ll Be Doing
Defining project requirements & preparing technical specifications 📑
Managing engineering support and detailed design activities 🏢
Reviewing and approving drawings, method statements & risk assessments ✔️
Providing technical supervision of construction/deconstruction works 👷
Supporting commissioning/decommissioning activities ⚙️
Responding to RFIs and technical queries 💬
Contributing to project optioneering and continuous improvement 🔄
Ensuring compliance with Health, Safety, Environment & Quality standards 🦺

EXPERIENCE
Essential:
Experience of developing design assurance for complex projects
Experience in civil engineering for complex projects
Experience in stakeholder engagement throughout the engineering lifecycle
Desirable:
Experience in a defence sector.
Experience in civil sector.
Experience of design delivery within defence projects.
Experience in engineering lifecycle management.
QUALIFICATIONS & TRAINING
Essential: UK National with SC Clearance. Demonstrable suitable qualifications and experience relating to marine and mechanical engineering. Accredited Degree in an appropriate ‘STEM’ discipline (or equivalent qualification and experience)
Desirable: Chartered Engineer
