The Credit, Capital and Structuring Team forms part of Deloitte’s Strategy, Risk and Transactions Advisory Practice and is a centre of excellence across regulatory capital and prudential matters. Using this expertise we support firms in:

• Practically implementing new emerging regulations such as Basel 3.1 and CRDVI
• Helping firms respond to feedback from regulators on prudential compliance
• Acting as skilled person or preparing firms for skilled persons reviews predominantly in the area of regulatory reporting and capital compliance.
• Engaging with firms instigating changes to their legal entity structure
• Supporting mergers and acquisitions in the banking and investment management sector.

You will deliver client engagements focusing on the above topics, providing in depth skills and expertise and practical understanding of the Front Office risk management & control framework, ensuring that we can deliver solution orientated outcomes for complex challenges in partnership with our clients. • Successful applicants will have responsibility for the following:
• Lead client projects by managing client relationships, developing the scope and engagement plan, managing team members, engagement financials, and overseeing the production of high-quality deliverables
• Work with a range of client stakeholders, being seen as a subject matter expert within client organisations and by colleagues, developing and maintaining deep industry relationships and knowledge
• Contribute to the development and growth of the practice by sharing knowledge, setting an example, and helping team members to develop through training and talent initiatives
• Co-ordinate internal practice development by participating in proposition, methodology and point of view development activities and supporting knowledge capture and sharing
• Establish and build a network of contacts across Deloitte and peer networks within our clients
• Develop proposals for new client opportunities and have an integral role in industry and account initiatives

We encourage applicants who come from either consulting or industry backgrounds. To qualify for the role, candidates will have the following skills and experience:

• Previous advisory, consulting or internal project or programme experience;
• Solid understanding of the regulatory environment and the core principles of risk management and governance for financial institutions;

Regulatory & Financial Risk

We provide advisory services across the risk and regulatory landscape to help our clients move beyond simply meeting the minimum compliance standards, to strategically creating a responsible, sustainable future. This includes providing critical insight and advice on the future of regulation to assist our clients in anticipating change and responding with confidence.

Personal independence

Regulation and controls are standard practice in our industry and Deloitte is no exception. These controls provide important legal protection for both you and the firm. We are subject to a number of audit regulations, one of which requires that certain colleagues abide by specific personal independence constraints (e.g., in relation to any financial interests and employment relationships). This can mean that you and your "Immediate Family Members" are not permitted to hold certain financial interests (shares, funds, bonds etc.) with audit clients of the firm, and also prohibitions on certain employment relationships (e.g., you are not permitted to hold a secondary employment role with SEC audit clients of the firm whilst being employed by the firm).
