About the role
Network Security Operations Engineer – Manchester | Hybrid
6-month contract
Looking for an experienced Network Security Operations Engineer to support enterprise network security within a large, regulated environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage firewall requests, policies, exceptions and compliance
- Handle network security incidents and operational issues
- Support firewall governance, audits and risk assessments
- Identify and remediate non-compliant or outdated firewall rules
- Work with security, network, application and compliance teams
Key technologies & experience:
- Enterprise firewall technologies and network security controls
- AlgoSec or equivalent firewall policy management platforms
- Palo Alto and Check Point firewalls
- ZTNA, SASE and SSE
- SDN, network segmentation and secure connectivity
- Cloud and hybrid networking
- Security incident and firewall policy management
- ITIL Incident, Problem, Change and Service Management
- Compliance with PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, NIST CSF and CIS Controls
