An exciting opportunity has arisen to work in this developing service. Looking to recruit a Band 7 Social worker to be based within Cluster 3 Team based at One Central Park, Manchester M40 5BP
We are seeking applications from confident, enthusiastic, & experienced social workers who are passionate about working in a perinatal service.
The perinatal period includes from conception up until one year following the birth of the baby & is a critical time for prevention & treatment for women at risk of serious mental ill health. providing a unique opportunity for intervention & change, improving outcomes for mums, their families and ultimately society, in the longer term.
The post holder will be involved in carrying a small caseload of complex cases. Preparing and delivering perinatal Mental health training, providing clinical supervision, consultation, & specialist advice on mental health issues in women of childbearing age, to a range of professionals who work closely with this group of women. They will have a strong working knowledge of adult & child safeguarding and will support the cluster teams to ensure all safeguarding needs are being addressed.
The post holder will aim at all times to promote the independence of women and people who are pregnant or in the post-natal period experiencing mental health difficulties & assist social inclusion and valued community presence & to enable the widest possible expression of chosen lifestyle.
