What would you be doing?

As a QA Technician, you will support the Technical team in ensuring that all products, processes and materials meet the highest standards of food safety, quality, legality and customer compliance. The role will play a key part in maintaining an audit-ready environment and promoting strong food safety culture across the site.

Your Responsibilities Will Include, But Are Not Limited To

• Carrying out quality checks and process verification across production
• Supporting HACCP monitoring and CCP verification activities

Conducting GMP, hygiene and factory standards audits

Completing product, environmental and microbiological sampling activities

Supporting allergen control and foreign body management programmes

Raising and supporting investigation of non-conformances and quality incidents

Assisting with customer complaint investigations and trend analysis

Maintaining accurate technical records and documentation within the QMS

Supporting calibration activities for technical equipment

Working closely with Production and Operations teams to maintain quality standards

The successful candidate for this role will need to demonstrate the following skills, qualifications and attributes:

Essential

• Experience working in a QA or Technical role within food manufacturing
• Understanding of food safety systems including HACCP and GMP
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate documentation
• Confident using Microsoft Office applications including Word and Excel
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  
  

Desirable

• Experience working within a bakery manufacturing environment
• Awareness of BRCGS Food Safety Standard or retailer technical standards
• Experience supporting internal or external audits
• Experience investigating non-conformances or customer complaints
  
  

Qualifications

• Food Safety Level 2 and HACCP Level 2 (or willingness to achieve)
• Food Safety Level 3, HACCP Level 3 or Internal Auditor qualification would be advantageous
