Purpose of the job

We are seeking two Quantity Surveying/Commercial professionals to join our Commercial team based out of our Risley or Milton offices. You will be responsible for delivering the commercial and contract management of our projects, from inception to final account. You will work closely with project teams and support functions and build strong relationships with our clients and supply chain. Your enthusiastic, proactive and professional approach will be key to successful project commercial outcomes.

Senior Commercial Manager or Head of Commercial

Key Accountabilities

Provide commercial delivery of the following aspects for projects that operate on a lump sum, remeasurable, target cost, or reimbursable basis:Project cash flow and budgetContractual terms & conditions (both client and supply chain)Interim applications in accordance with contract proceduresChange management, in accordance with contract proceduresNegotiation of contract amendments, including review of terms & conditionsSubcontract account management, including review of interim applications, preparation of payment certificates, management and assessment of potential changes, and final accounting upon completionPreparation of internal cost / commercial reports, including accurate margin forecastingCompliance with all relevant Health & Safety regulations

Qualifications And Experience

Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or in a related subject (candidates with appropriate experience may be considered)5+ years of experience in quantity surveying in the engineering or construction industryGood working knowledge of the NEC suite of contracts (particularly Options C & E)Demonstrable experience of successfully carrying out Quantity Surveying duties on multiple engineering and/or construction projectsExcellent oral and written communication skillsAbility to build strong relationships with project teams, clients, and the supply chainAbility to work well under pressure to meet tight deadlinesPC literate in the Microsoft Office suite

Desirable

Proficient in the use of the CEMAR Contract Management SystemLine management experience (for Commercial Manager)Current SC Clearance, or ability to achieve SC Clearance through NUVIAFull UK driving licenceFlexibility to travel to other UK offices and sites on occasion as necessary
