The Role

Reports to: Logistics and Servicing Manager

As a Site Engineer, you’ll take Addfield’s incinerators from the workshop to fully operational, commissioned equipment on client sites at home and abroad. It’s a hands-on, varied role for an engineer who enjoys solving problems, meeting people, and seeing the direct impact of their work.

Key Responsibilities

•      Install, service and commission Addfield and other suppliers’ incinerators in the UK and abroad

•      Build strong working relationships with clients, ensuring their servicing needs are delivered effectively

•      Monitor and record machinery performance and carry out preventative maintenance

•      Carry out health checks on equipment to keep it running safely and reliably

•      Deliver demonstrations and training so clients can operate their equipment safely

•      Feed back recommendations on new products and potential improvements

•      Keep on top of van inventory, flagging materials used and replacements needed

•      Be the face of Addfield on-site professional, approachable and customer-focused at all times

•      Alert the Quality Operative or QHSE Manager to any ongoing problems

•      Champion good practice and cleanliness around the factory

•      Keep paperwork an accurate record of work carried out and send it to the office promptly

•      Work to the KPIs set by your manager

•      Take on other reasonable duties as required by management from time to time

What You’ll Bring

•      Computer literacy

•      Engineering experience (electrical, mechanical or gas) and confident, correct use of tools

•      Strong time management and organisational skills to hit deadlines

•      A flexible approach to work, including overtime when required

•      A natural problem-solver’s mindset

•      Physical fitness for manual labour

•      Good communication skills

•      Care and consideration of COSHH

•      A valid UK manual driving licence

•      A valid passport

Preferred Skills

•      First Aid trained

•      FLT licence

•      Gas qualification

•      Electrical qualification
