Role Description: Technical Author – Data Programme

**MUST HAVE BANKING EXPERIENCE**

Role Purpose:

The Technical Author will be responsible for creating and maintaining high-quality documentation that supports the data programme’s objectives. This includes technical specifications, process documentation, user guides, and governance materials to ensure clarity and consistency across all data-related initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain documentation for data pipelines, ETL processes, and data models.
Create user-friendly guides for data tools, dashboards, and APIs.
Document data governance policies, standards, and compliance requirements.
Collaborate with data engineers, architects, and analysts to translate technical concepts into accessible language.
Manage internal knowledge bases and ensure version control of documentation.
Support onboarding by creating training materials and FAQs.

Skills & Experience:

Strong technical writing skills with attention to detail.

Understanding of data concepts (databases, data lakes, ETL, APIs).

Familiarity with documentation tools (Confluence, GitHub, Markdown).

Ability to work cross-functionally with technical and business teams.
