About the Role
We're looking for a Test Engineer to join our team working on a large-scale, safety-critical public sector digital transformation programme. This is a significant initiative focused on replacing legacy processes with a modern digital service, offering a genuine opportunity to contribute to work that has real-world impact at national scale.
You'll be part of a small, experienced test team within Storm ID, working in blended squads alongside client staff. The test strategy, automation framework and tooling are established and owned by senior test engineers. This is a hands-on delivery role where you'll execute and extend within that framework from day one, with clear scope to deepen your specialism as the programme progresses.
Essential Experience
- Agile Test Delivery: Solid experience as a Test Engineer within sprint-based delivery teams
Engages with new domains and technologies proactively
Communication: Articulates findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences During this programme, you will have the opportunity to develop the following skills:
- Advanced test automation within a Playwright-based framework and BDD layer
- CI/CD quality gates and automated test execution at scale
- Testing FHIR-based healthcare integrations across multiple supplier systems
- Clinical safety testing and DCB 0129/0160 standards in practice
- Accessibility, performance and non-functional testing on a national service
- Requirements-to-defect traceability supporting a formal clinical safety case
