What impact can you make in this role?

VP, CISD plays a critical role in managing and implementing GIC’s global policies and processes related to workplace management, corporate procurement, workplace sustainability and wellness, and business continuity in the GIC London Office. This position reports into the Senior VP, CISD, London Office.

Digital Workplace focus: A defining aspect of this VP role is leading the London Office’s digital workplace mandate. The VP will work closely with the digital workplace team in Singapore HQ to develop and implement HQ-led initiatives, while also driving local digital workplace use cases and projects in collaboration with the landlord, vendors and system integrators.

The envisaged digital workplace use cases will enhance workplace management, sustainability and wellness, business travel, corporate procurement, workplace security and business continuity in the London Office, with potential benefits for other GIC offices globally. Beyond strategic and operational improvements, the initiative aims to use technology platforms to connect with, engage and deliver corporate infrastructure services to GIC staff.

What will you do as VP, CISD, London Office?

The VP will play a supporting role to the Senior VP, potentially across other areas of responsibility under the CISD mandate. Based on performance and suitability, the VP may be tasked to progressively take on other responsibilities on top of the primary role for digital workplace. The VP is expected to operate at a leadership level — setting direction, owning outcomes and governing delivery — while retaining the hands-on, practitioner depth needed to be credible with technical teams and vendors.

As the London Office lead for the Digital Workplace, the VP will need to collaborate closely with the digital workplace team in Singapore HQ to co-develop, as necessary, and roll out HQ led initiatives that underpin the GIC global digital employee experience — providing practitioner depth to shape and deliver solutions personally where required. The VP will also be expected to initiate, develop and implement digital workplace initiatives arising from local LDO requirements.

• Drive AI innovation & future-readiness: Identify and prioritize practical AI and Generative AI (GenAI) use cases that address organizational challenges, assess emerging technologies and industry best practices, and keep the office at the forefront of a rapidly evolving AI landscape.
• Own the digital workplace agenda: In line with Singapore HQ’s strategic directions, implement and administer enterprise solutions for digital workplace solutions – including optimizing the workplace experience through the GIC@Work App, occupancy and environmental sensors as well as associated agentic AI technology and data management.
• Lead the continuous improvement loop: Own the end-to-end value cycle for the digital employee experience, from sentiment gathering and data collection through requirement definition, delivery and closure; personally translate complex business and operational needs into clear specifications and user stories where hands-on rigor is required.
• Champion user experience & adoption: Drive adoption of the GIC@Work App by using direct feedback channels such as surveys and focus groups; Applying modern UX principles to create simple, effective journeys across devices; Leading the communications and training needed to build platform proficiency across the office.
• Govern value & impact: Define, track and report the metrics that measure the value and impact of digital workplace solutions, and leverage them to positively impact business plans and employee experience.

What qualifications or skills should you possess in this role?

• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or a related discipline.
• The VP is expected to have practitioner level competence and bring genuine hands-on depth in the digital workplace and the IT project management domain:

• • Digital workplace delivery: Demonstrable experience in IT project management, process automation, digital workplace transformation and end-user productivity solutions, including business analysis and gathering complex requirements, and a track record of taking ownership of outcomes end to end.
  • Platform & architecture literacy: Strong understanding of technology products and platforms (e.g. Microsoft 365, ServiceNow) and how they integrate within an enterprise environment, underpinned by sound enterprise-architecture, security, scalability and integration principles.
  • AI savviness & future focus: Demonstrated enthusiasm and intellectual curiosity for staying current with digital workplace automation and AI/GenAI trends, and the judgement to translate them into practical use cases.
  • Relevant certifications: Microsoft certifications such as MS-100, MS-102 or MS-700 are desirable; TOGAF, ITIL or Agile certifications would be beneficial.

• Relevant experience in IT or workplace management, preferably within a multinational corporation (MNC) or the financial industry, with a track record of IT project management, business process re-engineering and automation, digital workplace transformation.
• High personal integrity, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to exercise initiative.

Self-directed and results-oriented, with a preference for a fast-paced work environment.

Effective team leader with clear communication, and the ability to inspire and motivate the team towards delivering high-quality outcomes while charting the growth and development of the team.

Strong customer orientation and exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to build trust with key business stakeholders across various job levels, from technical teams to senior leadership.

Excellent organizational abilities, effective project and time management skills, and adaptability to evolving situations, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and product increments simultaneously.

Experience in budget and cost management, along with proficiency in root cause analysis, industry benchmarking, survey evaluation, and data interpretation.

Willingness to deal with work exigencies and be on call for crisis-related issues, with the ability to multi-task and travel as needed.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Projects, and Planner.

A Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent background will be considered an advantage.
