Join us and be part of a mission-driven, independent publisher. You’ll work with a diverse group of people who share a passion for empowering researchers, educators, and institutions to shape the future.

About Sage:

Sage  is a global academic publisher of books, journals, and library resources with a growing range of technologies to enable discovery, access, and engagement. Our guaranteed independence means we’re free to:

  • Do more – supporting an equitable academic future, furthering disciplines that drive social change, and helping social and behavioural science make an impact

  • Work together – building lasting relationships, championing diverse perspectives, and co-creating resources to transform teaching and learning

  • Think long-term – experimenting, taking risks, and investing in new ideas

About our Team:

Our Digital Workplace team is dedicated to creating a seamless, empowering technology experience for every colleague. We partner closely with employees, People & Culture, IT Operations, Facilities, and senior leaders to ensure the tools people rely on every day are intuitive, reliable, and accessible. You’ll be joining a supportive group that values curiosity, continuous improvement, and inclusive service delivery.

Could you be our new Digital Workplace Specialist? Are you?

  • Committed to delivering inclusive, user‑centred customer service, communicating clearly and respectfully with colleagues at all levels.

  • Are you confident helping users with Windows 11, Microsoft 365, and collaboration tools, providing clear training, mentorship and addressing problems efficiently.

Your new role:

You’ll be the visible, approachable face of the Digital Workplace team in the office. Your purpose is to ensure colleagues can work effectively, confidently, and securely by providing high‑quality support across devices, applications, collaboration tools, and workplace technology. You’ll combine technical capability with a strong service mindset, resolving issues quickly, preventing recurring problems, and improving the overall digital experience for employees.

  • Act as an approachable first point of contact for in‑office digital workplace support, ensuring employees receive a consistent, high‑quality, user‑centred service experience.

  • Deliver Level 1 and Level 2 support across in‑person, phone, and remote channels, resolving issues with devices, operating systems, applications, collaboration tools, AV, and telephony to minimise disruption.

  • Maintain accurate user access, asset records, and stock levels, and contribute to continuous improvement by identifying recurring issues, updating knowledge articles, and supporting Digital Workplace initiatives.

About sponsorship for this role

Does this job guarantee visa sponsorship?

Not necessarily. SAGE PUBLICATIONS LIMITED holds a sponsor licence, but sponsorship for a specific hire is always the employer's decision. Be upfront in your application that you'll require it.

What salary is needed for this role to be eligible?

The offer must clear both the general threshold and the SOC 3131 going rate of £41,700. New-entrant and shortage discounts can lower it.
