About the role
Oracle Business Analyst / Functional Consultant - 12 Month Contract
Location: London - Hybrid – 2-3 Days Per Week in the Office
Day rate up to £750 per day Inside IR35
We're looking for an experienced Oracle Business Analyst / Functional Consultant to support a major finance transformation programme. This role requires a strong blend of Oracle Financials expertise, finance domain knowledge, and data analysis capability.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with Finance and IT stakeholders to understand, analyse and document requirements.
- Analyse Oracle Finance data structures and validate financial data extracts.
- Support the creation and reconciliation of Trial Balances and daily posting extracts.
- Interrogate databases using SQL to identify, extract and validate financial data.
- Facilitate workshops and present findings to senior stakeholders.
- Produce high-quality presentation materials and status updates.
- Deliver work independently within fast-paced sprint-based delivery timelines.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Strong Oracle Functional Consultant or Business Analyst background.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle General Ledger (GL) and Financial Accounting Hub (FAH).
- Good understanding of core finance concepts including:
- Trial Balance
- Balance Sheet
- P&L
- Chart of Accounts
- Intercompany Accounting
- Retained Earnings
- Revaluation
- SQL experience with the ability to interrogate databases and analyse financial data.
- Ability to understand complex system data structures with limited documentation.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Comfortable working autonomously and delivering to tight deadlines.
