We’re seeking a skilled and experienced Senior ADAS Embedded Software Engineer – Classic AUTOSAR to join JLR as part of the growing ADAS Platform and ECU Architecture team. This is a key role focused on shaping the software foundations that underpin next-generation driver assistance and automated driving systems. You will be working at the heart of ECU architecture, developing and configuring Classic AUTOSAR on multi-core microcontrollers that control critical vehicle interfaces.
In this role, you will design, implement, integrate and validate embedded software within a complex AUTOSAR environment, ensuring requirements are clearly defined, traceable and delivered to a high standard. Working closely with architecture and Functional Safety teams, you will help translate system-level requirements into robust, production-ready software, while contributing to reusable design patterns across multiple ECU platforms. The work is both technical and collaborative, requiring strong engineering judgement and a structured approach to problem solving.
You will also take ownership of key performance considerations, including CPU load, memory usage and efficient task management within real-time operating systems. Operating in a multi-core MCU environment brings additional complexity, and this role plays a central part in ensuring software is optimised, scalable and aligned across wider vehicle systems. Experience with Vector AUTOSAR tooling and a solid understanding of automotive communication protocols will be highly valuable in this environment.
This is an opportunity to be part of a highly capable and forward-thinking engineering team, working on technology that will define the future of modern luxury vehicles. Alongside technical delivery, you will contribute to continuous improvement, support knowledge sharing within the team, and help raise standards across the wider ADAS engineering community at JLR.
