SOC 2440 (85% match) is an eligible occupation, with a going rate of £56,500, and Milton Keynes Council is a licensed sponsor. That is our reading of the rules. Whether they issue a Certificate of Sponsorship is still their call.
Worth checking: this could also be SOC 1251 (Property, housing and estate managers, Manages property assets and estate portfolio), which is not on the eligible-occupation list. Ask Milton Keynes Council what the duties actually are.
We’re recruiting an Asset Manager (Strategic Projects) to join our Corporate and Housing Team within Property and Development.
The Corporate and Housing Team within Property and Development manages one of the most important asset portfolios in Milton Keynes, with responsibility for the land and buildings that underpin public services, support residents, and shape the future growth of our city.
The team oversees a diverse estate that includes civic offices, libraries, leisure facilities, schools, depots, community buildings, hostels, temporary accommodation, and provides valuation and general property advice to colleagues in Home Ownership and Housing Regeneration.
Alongside day-to-day management, the team plays a strategic role in enabling Milton Keynes’ continued growth and the provision of essential services.
As our Asset Manager (Strategic Projects), you’ll lead on high-profile property initiatives that support major council priorities, including the District Heat Network, environmental programmes, and key regeneration projects.

Working across Milton Keynes City Council, you’ll provide expert advice, lead complex projects, and help us deliver our priorities in a way that reflects our values of being dedicated, respectful, and collaborative.
