SOC 3133 (80% match) is an eligible occupation, with a going rate of £41,700, and Victoria and Albert Museum is a licensed sponsor. That is our reading of the rules. Whether they issue a Certificate of Sponsorship is still their call.
This could also be SOC 2141 (Web design professionals, UX/UI design focus could place it in web design) or SOC 2133 (IT business analysts, architects and systems designers, Information architecture and user-centred design overlap with IT systems design). We read the code off the advert, so it is our best guess, not the employer's.
The Role
We are looking for a Content Designer to design and improve audience-centred content experiences on V&A websites and other key digital touchpoints.
If you’re a strategic thinker and a natural collaborator who can interpret audience insights, data and user research to improve visitor journeys, then we’d love to hear from you!
The Content Designer designs and improves audience-centred content experiences that help people discover, understand and engage with the V&A across
its digital experiences and visitor journeys. Working across websites and other digital touchpoints, the role shapes how existing and new content is
structured, presented and connected so that audiences can easily find the information they need, complete key journeys and move confidently between
digital experiences and the museum's venues. By reducing friction and improving the quality, clarity and accessibility of content, the role plays a key part in
strengthening audience progression across the V&A's digital and physical experiences.
Bringing specialist expertise in content design, information architecture and user-centred design, the role works collaboratively with Product, Design and
Technology, Digital Content and colleagues across the museum to design, test and continually improve content experiences. Using audience insight, user
research and performance data, the role ensures content meets user needs while supporting organisational priorities, helping create joined-up experiences
before, during and after a visit, and strengthening the connection between the V&A's digital experiences and its museums.
