We are seeking Embedded Software Architects to support the development of software-defined combat air capabilities for the next generation of combat aircraft.
You will be responsible for defining software architectures, technical roadmaps and integration approaches that esupport rapid capability insertion and through life evolution within softare defined combat air systems, while maintaining the safety, security and integrity required for military aerospace platforms..
This role offers an opportunity to influence future combat air capability through the development, integration and optimisation of advanced sensing architectures, supporting delivery across the full engineering lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Define and maintain software architectures.
- Develop software integration strategies and technical roadmaps.
- Support software governance and design authority activities.
- Define interfaces and service-based architectures.
- Collaborate with systems, safety and cyber teams.
- Lead software technical decision making.
- Support customer and partner engagement activities.
- Mentor engineering teams and support capability development.
Qualifications
- Degree qualified in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electronic Engineering or related STEM discipline.
