SOC 2440 (80% match) is an eligible occupation, with a going rate of £56,500, and Great British Energy - Nuclear is a licensed sponsor. That is our reading of the rules. Whether they issue a Certificate of Sponsorship is still their call.
This could also be SOC 2127 (Engineering project managers and project engineers, Engineering project context could make it an engineering project manager) or SOC 1139 (Functional managers and directors not elsewhere classified., Programme delivery manager role if managing broader programme). We read the code off the advert, so it is our best guess, not the employer's.
Originally named, Great British Nuclear, Great British Energy - Nuclear is an arm’s length body of the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero, dedicated to supporting the development and deployment of new nuclear technologies in Great Britain. We play a crucial role in advancing nuclear new build, ensuring the UK’s energy security and achieving net-zero carbon emissions. Great British Energy - Nuclear focuses on fostering innovation, facilitating investment, and coordinating efforts across the nuclear industry to build a resilient and sustainable energy future.
Great British Energy - Nuclear’s first step was to start the technology selection process for Small Modular Reactors (SMRs) in 2023. SMRs can potentially be quicker to deploy and less expensive to build than traditional nuclear power plants because they are smaller, have factory based modular manufacturing and more flexible deployment options. In June 2025, Great British Energy - Nuclear announced that Rolls-Royce SMR had been selected as the preferred bidder to build the UK’s first SMRs, following a technology selection process that began in 2023.
Great British Energy - Nuclear is aiming to deliver fast, based on a supportive and collaborative culture which values equality and diversity and creates an inclusive workplace. We draw on deep nuclear expertise – our Executive Committee has over 100 years of nuclear experience at home and abroad. GBN-E will unlock billions of pounds of private and public investment from design to operation, helping to get sites ready for development, and working to grow manufacturing capacity and skills capability.
Our activities will be driven by our values, which are:
Trust - We prioritise safety, we act responsibly and with integrity.
Collaboration - We work as a team; we value diversity and expertise.
Challenge - We are curious and courageous in the way we think and act.
Care - We are thoughtful, inclusive and respectful of others.
Drive - We get things done and we make a difference.

Job Profile
The Project Integration Manager will support the Project Integration Lead in operating the Project Integration capability for the Gwyndod Project, helping the project to coordinate delivery activity across functions, contracts and workstreams.
The role is responsible for managing defined integration workstreams and turning cross-boundary interfaces, dependencies, assumptions, actions and decisions into clear, tracked and actively progressed priorities.
Working across internal teams, enabling functions, Tier 1 contractors and strategic workstreams, the Project Integration Manager will coordinate stakeholders, maintain visibility of integration matters and support timely escalation where issues require senior attention.
The Project Integration Manager will typically be responsible for integration workstreams or cross-functional matters that are less high profile or significant than those led by the Senior Project Integration Manager, while still requiring strong delivery focus, stakeholder coordination and attention to dependency, action and decision management.
This role will work closely with the Project Integration Lead, Senior Project Integration Manager and wider project teams to embed consistent integration ways of working, support project governance and help ensure cross-cutting matters are progressed to resolution.
You will be joining a major first-of-a-kind UK SMR Project at a formative stage. This is a fast-paced role requiring strong delivery capability, confidence working with multiple stakeholders and the drive to create structure, maintain momentum and close gaps between contracts, functions and workstreams.
