Highways maintenance team, as the UKs number one highway maintenance contractor, our teams use the latest innovations to create effective solutions. We offer a range of services including planned and reactive maintenance and highway improvement schemes.

What will you be doing?
The Scheduler & Permitter is responsible for the effective coordination and scheduling of operational work across field-based teams. The role ensures daily workloads are optimised, work is sequenced and routed efficiently, and stakeholders are kept informed where plans change.
Working as part of a scheduling function, the Scheduler & Permitter supports safe, compliant and efficient delivery of work orders, task orders or client appointments (terminology varies by division), helping to achieve contractual, regulatory and customer performance targets.
Scheduling & Workload Management - Coordinate and schedule daily work for field operatives / engineers across multiple workstreams, ensuring plans are realistic and achievable.
- Optimise daily workloads so each operative has a balanced schedule that maximises productivity while remaining safe and compliant.
Highlight outstanding issues, risks or follow-up actions to ensure effective ongoing delivery.
What youll bring - Strong attention to detail and accuracy when working at volume.
- Good IT literacy, with the ability to learn and use scheduling and operational systems.
- Clear communication skills and confidence working with a range of stakeholders.
- Ability to manage changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive, solution-focused approach to problem solving.
- Good standard of general education (for example, GCSEs or equivalent).
