Where will you be working?
At M Group Telecom, we’re enabling and enhancing telecom networks, playing a lead role in the delivery of our tech enabled future. We deliver full network cycle services for fixed, private and mobile operators.
You’ll be working within mobile networks where we keep the country connected through the survey, design, installation and maintenance of private 5G networks, small cells, supporting Smart Cities & Connected infrastructure.

We're looking for an experienced Senior Town Planner to join our growing team and play a key role in delivering planning solutions for major telecommunications and infrastructure projects across the UK. You'll be joining a collaborative and supportive team where your expertise will directly influence project success, client satisfaction, and business growth. While your primary base will be one of our offices in West Byfleet, Diseworth or Warwick, we'll welcome applications from talented planners located across the UK who are able to travel to these locations as required.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Senior Town Planner, you'll take the lead on a variety of client projects, working closely with acquisition specialists, designers, engineers and surveyors to identify and secure the best planning outcomes. You'll be responsible for assessing planning opportunities and constraints, undertaking site appraisals and research, and developing innovative planning strategies that align with both client objectives and local authority requirements.
You'll manage planning applications through the entire lifecycle, from early-stage consultation and stakeholder engagement through to determination and, where necessary, the appeals process. We'll look to you to prepare high-quality planning submissions, provide clear and practical planning advice, and build positive relationships with clients, local authorities, stakeholders and local communities.
As a trusted planning expert, you'll monitor the progress of planning submissions, attend site visits and planning committee meetings where required, and support project teams by providing guidance on planning matters. You'll also play an important role in ensuring projects are delivered in line with agreed service levels, supporting revenue reporting, keeping abreast of planning legislation and policy changes, and sharing your knowledge and expertise with colleagues across the business.
