Commercial Pre-Sales Engineer

The Role

Techary redefines the way customers procure, implement, and support their organisations' technology. As part of this role, you’ll be joining Techary and it’s Commercial Pre-Sales team working with our Sales and Account Management teams to develop technical solutions for customers.

Duties & Responsibilities 

• Joining calls and attending in person meetings with clients along-side the Sales and Account Management team.
• Owning the technical solutions designs, validations and recommendations aligned to clients’ requirements.
• Provide industry leading insights and advice to clients.
• Creating Bills of Materials and writing complete technical proposals.

Working on all types of opportunities; but mostly focusing on commercial clients.

 

Essential Skills

• Knowledge and deep understanding of how the IT channel works.
• The ability to propose technical solutions that are validated and viable from a commercial perspective.

Ability to communicate deep technical solutions to a non-technical and highly technical audience.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Excellent presentation skills.

Keen to develop and expand knowledge.

3+ years of experience within the IT MSP/VAR industry.

Knowledge of vendor portals such as Cisco’s CCV, Dell’s OSC, and HPE’s OCA.

 

Technical Knowledge

 

Networking: CCNA level

• TCP/IP stack, and OSI model, DNS/DHCP, VLANs and spanning tree
• Wireless concepts such as; RF, Bands, and Channels

On-premise Infrastructure

• Virtualisation
• Windows
• Backup and DR

Cloud Infrastructure

• Azure (primary)
• AWS (nice to have)

Microsoft 365

• Full administration
• Entra ID
• Intune
• Licensing

Security

• Endpoint Protection (Preferably SentinelOne).
• Email Security (Preferably Barracuda).
• Zero Trust Architectures.

Preferred Certifications

• CCNA or equivalent
• AZ-104 or equivalent
