Having undertaken acomprehensiveservice review, we are driving forward an exciting transformation in audiology services.With afocus on delivering safe, high -quality care through strong governance, clear performance standardsand innovative ways of working, the service is committed to providing the highest quality of patient care.Working with the clinical team a new structure has been developed which encompasses all aspects of Audiology with an aim to future proof the service both for patients and staff.

We are seeking two outstanding Band 6 Audiologists to join our Audiology service who is keen to deliver patient-centred care.The service has recently undergone a service review and the development of a new clinical structure. Through good governance process the service aims to ensure that patients receive the highest quality, evidence - based hearing and balance services.
Main duties of the job
This is an exciting time to join our service as we continue to embed changes that improve outcomes and experiences for our patients.As an Audiologist, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of our adult service.
As part of our team, you will play a key role in shaping services that improve patient access and outcomes, supported by robust systems that ensure accountability and excellence.Within the structure, research and education have been prioritised along with continued service and staff development.
You will be clinically responsible for the provision of routine and specialist audiological assessment and rehabilitation of patients, with a focus on a specific patient group and specific area(s) of specialism within the Audiology service. You will liaise with multidisciplinary teams to ensure patients receive a high quality service in line with local and national requirements and will be involved in training and supporting more junior staff, including those on work placements.

Qualifications & Education
Essential
- BSc in audiology or equivalent level, relevant qualification
- Registered Audiologist with the HCPC or AHCS as a registered clinical physiologist or state registered clinical scientist
- BAA accredited Certificate to Practice
- Completed audiology Practitioner Training Programme or equivalent and a track record of post programme experience
Desirable
- Mentorship certificate
- MSc in Audiology / M level credits in general audiology/specialist areas
- STP in Audiology completed or HTS module in appropriate area
- British Sign Language qualification
- Membership of BSA/BAA
Knowledge & Experience
Essential
- Evidence of interest in specialist area and ability to develop skills further
- Excellent written communication skills including the ability to clearly document test results, treatment options, and outcomes in patient notes
- Evidence of continuing professional development
Desirable
- Experience of training others
Skills & Abilities
Essential
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to include ability to communicate with the hearing impaired and carers in emotional states and work effectively with colleagues in a multi-disciplinary team
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and manage a busy and varied caseload
- Ability to make judgements involving complex facts which require the analysis, interpretation, and comparison of a range of options
