SOC 2129 (80% match) is an eligible occupation, with a going rate of £46,100, and BAE Systems is a licensed sponsor. That is our reading of the rules. Whether they issue a Certificate of Sponsorship is still their call.

In 2025, BAE Systems assigned 7 or more Certificates of Sponsorship for SOC 2129 jobs, according to the Home Office.

This could also be SOC 2126 (Aerospace engineers, If the role focuses more on spacecraft design than integration testing) or SOC 2136 (IT quality and testing professionals, If the role is primarily software testing rather than hardware integration). We read the code off the advert, so it is our best guess, not the employer's.
