SOC 3112 is an eligible occupation, but we are only 53% sure that is the right code. NWG (Northumbrian Water Group) is a licensed sponsor, so if the code fits, the role should qualify. Check the occupation eligibility rules against what the job actually involves.
Worth checking: this could also be SOC 5246 (Electrical service and maintenance mechanics and repairers), which is not on the eligible-occupation list. Ask NWG (Northumbrian Water Group) what the duties actually are.

About The Role
We are looking to recruit an Electrical Technician to work in Northumbrian Water’s Maintenance team based in Consett, County Durham. No two days are the same, and you will have unique opportunities to use your expertise in both fault diagnosis and preventative maintenance to improve plant availability.
At Northumbrian Water Group we have a diverse range of equipment allowing us to offer a unique prospect to specialise in areas such as PLC’s, telemetry, level control and variable speed drives.
You will be a fully mobile worker and will be provided with a van, starting and finishing your working day from home. All tools and equipment are provided supporting Technicians to minimise plant down time.
The role requires participation in an out of hour’s standby rota. We will ensure that you have the relevant training and experience required to do this. Additional payments are made for standby, callouts and any additional hours worked.
At Northumbrian Water Group we recognise potential, offering a tailored training package, development, and growth opportunities for people to progress internally. With our committed leadership and close-knit teams, you will never be short of support in your role.
About You
You will be a time served Electrical Technician educated to at least ONC/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Engineering. You will have a maintenance background in reactive breakdowns and planned work, and you will manage your time efficiently with minimal supervision. You will be experienced in reading and finding faults from electrical drawings, identifying the source and replacing faulty components.
We are looking for candidates with a can-do attitude, willingness to learn and explore new ways of working. A hands-on practical approach and keen eye for identifying the route cause whilst investigating problems and implementing solutions is essential in this role.
You’ll have excellent communication skills and be a team player. A strong Health and Safety ethic is an important part of our Everybody Home Safe Everyday culture.
