SOC 1136 (75% match) is an eligible occupation, with a going rate of £52,900, and Mondrian Alpha is a licensed sponsor. That is our reading of the rules. Whether they issue a Certificate of Sponsorship is still their call.
This could also be SOC 3571 (Human resources and industrial relations officers, HR business partner role could be advisory rather than managerial) or SOC 2440 (Business and financial project management professionals, Heavy project work on HR operations automation and process improvement). We read the code off the advert, so it is our best guess, not the employer's.
Our client, a hugely successful multi-billion dollar AUM hedge fund, is looking to hire a newly created ‘EMEA Early Careers Business Partner’ position into their HR function in London.
Reporting into the Head of HR, the hire will step into a high impact and lean European team, in a multifaceted role taking ownership of talent management processes for the firm's EMEA early careers and emerging talent employee population. The hire will play a key role in managing the employee lifecycle for the firms EMEA Analyst and Graduate population as well as actively working to manage year end processes around performance management, talent development and internal mobility. There will be close liaison with the hire’s counterpart in the US office and also the Global Head of HR (who is also based in the US).
The hire will also play a key role in projects around process improvement and the automation of HR operations infrastructure whilst also working on exciting projects focused on talent attraction, improving the firms EVP for junior talent and working with managers to set development roadmaps for employees at a rapidly scaling firm.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience as an Early Careers Recruiter, Emerging Talent Associate or Early Careers Programme Manager with exposure supporting emerging talent populations and programmes. There is a strong preference for hedge fund / prop trading firm candidates, although broader FS / fin-tech candidates can be considered. Candidates must have strong academic profiles.
This is a business-critical hire – our client is committed to paying the successful hire a significant increase on his/her current base. The firm is known to be a leading bonus payer in the hedge fund space – a strong performer will receive a large % bonus. This will be a highly lucrative role for a hire that excels in the role.

The offer must clear both the general threshold and the SOC 1136 going rate of £52,900. New-entrant and shortage discounts can lower it.
