SOC 3552 is an eligible occupation, but we are only 49% sure that is the right code. Certas Energy is a licensed sponsor, so if the code fits, the role should qualify. Check the occupation eligibility rules against what the job actually involves.
This could also be SOC 3556 (Sales accounts and business development managers). We read the code off the advert, so it is our best guess, not the employer's.
Field Sales Business Development Manager
Location: Field & Home Based – [Southampton to Dover]
Company: Certas Energy
Salary - Competitive + Car Package + Monthly Bonus - Excellent OTE opportunities
How you'll power our business as a Field Sales Business Development Manager
Are you a field salesperson who loves getting out in front of customers, winning new business and seeing your success reflected in your earnings?
Certas Energy is looking for a Field Sales Business Development Manager to grow our commercial customer base across your territory.
You'll spend your time out in the field meeting businesses, understanding their fuel and energy requirements and converting opportunities into long-term customers. From farms and agricultural businesses to construction sites and commercial operators, you'll be building relationships with customers who rely on us to keep their businesses moving.
This is a genuine new business role. You'll have access to a strong pipeline of warm opportunities, but we'll also want you to be proactive in finding and converting your own. Once you've won a customer, you'll have the opportunity to develop that relationship, grow their fuel volume and identify additional products and services that could support their business.
And importantly, your success is rewarded, with a monthly commission structure recognising both the new accounts you bring into the business and the volume they generate.
What you'll be doing
What we're looking for
Above everything else, we're looking for someone with the drive and confidence to go out and win business.
You'll ideally bring:
Experience within fuel, oil, energy, agriculture or construction would be a real advantage, but it's not essential. If you're a strong field salesperson who knows how to build relationships and win new business, we'd still love to hear from you.
What's in it for you?
This is an opportunity where your performance can directly influence your earnings.
Our commission structure rewards you for both the new customers you bring into the business and the volume they generate, meaning there is an opportunity to build your earnings as you build your customer base.
You'll receive:
A role for someone who loves winning business
This isn't an account management position where you'll inherit a portfolio and simply maintain it.
We want someone who enjoys the hunt.
Someone who wants to get out into their territory, meet businesses, create opportunities, win customers and then see how far they can grow those relationships.
If that sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you.
Diversity & Inclusion
We believe different experiences, perspectives and backgrounds make us stronger.
We're committed to creating an inclusive workplace where everyone feels valued, respected and able to be themselves. We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds and recognise that talented candidates won't always meet every requirement listed in an advert.
If you're excited about this opportunity and believe you could make an impact, we'd encourage you to apply.

The offer must clear both the general threshold and the SOC 3552 going rate of £41,700. New-entrant and shortage discounts can lower it.
