About the role
We are looking for a motivated individual to join our dynamic pharmacy team and train to become a pharmacy technician registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
This cross-sector rotational programme includes placements with London Ambulance Service NHS Trust and our training partner, Barts Health NHS Trust, at St Bartholomews Hospital.
The successful candidate will be enrolled on a two-year apprenticeship programme starting March 2027 and supported to develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to qualify and register as a pharmacy technician.

Qualifications, Accreditations, Education
Essential
- 5 GCSEs at grade 4 or above including Maths, English and Science or equivalent
- Eligible for Apprenticeship funding
Desirable
- NVQ/QCF Level 2 in pharmacy services or equivalent
Experience
Essential
- Experience in community or hospital pharmacy stock distribution and top-up services.
- Experience of working in a team
- Interested in and have knowledge of the use of medicines
- Understand the importance of quality issues
- Good IT skills including data entry
- Good Analytical skills
- Good Communication skills (including verbal and written)
Desirable
- Pharmaceutical environment experience
Knowledge and Skills
Essential
- Ability to work as team member and work alone as required
- Good written and verbal communication
Desirable
- Understanding of stock control
Personal Abilities
Desirable
- Able to travel to different sites across LAS and hospital cross-sector sites
