This role may qualify for a Skilled Worker visa

Anyone can use the standard rate, but the pay clears it only if the Home Office classes the job as SOC 2129. We think SOC 2127 is more likely, and the pay is too low for that code. If you are a new entrant or a PhD holder, you can use a lower rate, and the pay clears the new entrant rate for SOC 2127. On the jobs board, Standard and the new entrant rate both show roles like this as Possible at most.

About sponsorship for this role

Does this job guarantee visa sponsorship?

Not necessarily. BAE Systems holds a sponsor licence, but sponsorship for a specific hire is always the employer's decision. Be upfront in your application that you'll require it.

What salary is needed for this role to be eligible?

The offer must clear both the general threshold and the SOC 2127 going rate of £51,900. New-entrant and shortage discounts can lower it.
