Magellan Aerospace, Llay Wrexham has an exciting opportunity for Senior Manufacturing Engineer.
Key responsibilities include leading Manufacturing Engineering activities across assigned areas, providing technical support and problem-solving, and acting as a key interface between Engineering and Production. The role will lead Tool Design activities, ensuring effective tooling solutions are developed and implemented to meet production requirements.
The position will also lead continuous improvement projects focused on improving productivity, quality, cost and process capability. Additional responsibilities include supporting NPI, process development, engineering changes and the ongoing development of manufacturing capability, standards and best practice.

Position Requirements
Academic:
- HNC / Equivalent or Higher
Advertisement
- Minimum 5 years engineering experience in the Aerospace or similar industry
- CAD proficient [Catia V5 preferred]
- Experience with budget maintenance and control
- Knowledge of GD&T/SPC techniques
- Must be computer literate and have a working knowledge of TMS systems
- Must show a high level of knowledge in inspection processes for major tool assemblies
Skills:
- Good practical co-ordination skills (Company Test)
- Good understanding of spoken and written English (Company Test)
- Ability to work using own initiative
- Confident with technical decisions
- Can interact and work with multi-disciplined team
- Confident in explaining and presenting any issues or errors to multi functional departments
