About
Skills for Health, operated by The Workforce Development Trust, is a not-for-profit charity dedicated to building a stronger and more sustainable healthcare workforce across the UK. Established in 2002 as the government-licensed Sector Skills Council for Health, it helps shape policy and standards across health, education and public health more broadly.
As a trusted provider of workforce and organisational development to healthcare employers, Skills for Health designs products and services aimed at improving the quality of care, patient safety and productivity. Its work includes developing employer-led qualifications and raising training standards, and the charity offers UK visa sponsorship, including via the Skilled Worker visa, for eligible roles.
At its core, the organisation is focused on promoting better jobs, careers and sustainable employment within the health sector, helping employers build a more skilled and flexible workforce.
