SOC 2132 (70% match) is an eligible occupation, with a going rate of £55,000, and Fuse Energy is a licensed sponsor. That is our reading of the rules. Whether they issue a Certificate of Sponsorship is still their call.
This could also be SOC 2134 (Programmers and software development professionals, Role involves building internal AI tools and technical work) or SOC 1123 (Production managers and directors in mining and energy, Energy sector operations management could fit production management). We read the code off the advert, so it is our best guess, not the employer's.

About the role
We've raised over $200M from top-tier investors including Balderton, Lakestar, Accel, Creandum, Lowercarbon, Ribbit, 20VC, Hummingbird and Collaborative Fund, alongside strategic angels including Nico Rosberg and GPs behind Meta, Revolut, Spotify and Uber.
We're building a fully integrated energy company: developing our own solar, batteries and other generation projects, building our own hardware, improving and developing grid infrastructure, trading power in real time, using AI across the business, and installing distributed energy in homes. By selling directly to consumers we cut out the middleman, lower costs and pass the savings on to our customers.
This isn't a traditional operations role. You'll sit at the intersection of AI, data and real-world energy systems, responsible for deploying, scaling and continuously improving AI-driven operations across the business. You'll turn AI from a set of tools into a core operational backbone that drives efficiency, automation and decision-making across trading, grid operations and internal workflows.
Responsibilities
- Identify high-impact opportunities to apply AI across the business (trading, customer operations, product development, internal tooling)
- Redesign core operational processes to be AI-first
- Eliminate manual work across functions through intelligent automation
- Build internal AI tools that supercharge teams across product, finance and operations
- Evaluate and integrate emerging AI technologies rapidly
- Act as a bridge between technical teams and business functions
- Bachelor's degree from a top university in STEM
- Deep curiosity about AI and a track record of using it in real-world settings
- Competitive salary and eligibility for equity
- Biannual bonus scheme
- Fully expensed tech to match your needs
- Private health insurance
- Breakfast and dinner allowance for office-based employees

Does this job guarantee visa sponsorship?
Not necessarily. Fuse Energy holds a sponsor licence, but sponsorship for a specific hire is always the employer's decision. Be upfront in your application that you'll require it.
What salary is needed for this role to be eligible?
The offer must clear both the general threshold and the SOC 2132 going rate of £55,000. New-entrant and shortage discounts can lower it.
